Beginners' Training Course in Dry Stone Walling at Blackruthven - 2nd & 3rd October, 2021

So it was back to Blackruthven for the 5th and final course of season. This time the trainees consisted of 4 women and 2 men, so the reverse of all earlier courses. The group were very keen and hard working and achieved a remarkable amount of work for beginners.

The poor weather forecast was not as bad as anticipated, but everyone came prepared for the worst and didn’t seem to mind.

Two of the women had their own gardening businesses and were hoping to add another ‘string to their bow’.  All participants were very appreciative of Martin's instruction and the individual attention they received. That's the benefit of a small group.

We ran short of copes and larger stone but have been promised some for when we return in 2022.
